We believe Baptism signifies entrance into the church and is a symbol of repentance and inner cleansing from sin, a representation of the new birth in Christ Jesus and a mark of Christian discipleship.

Our first emphasis is upon the gracious action of God who establishes the covenant of Baptism with us. In all forms of Christian Baptism, God claims those being baptized, whatever their age or ability to profess their faith, with divine grace.

When those being baptized are adults or youth, and are ready to profess their faith in Jesus, they make the Baptism covenant for themselves.

Children of believing parents through Baptism become the special responsibility of the Church. They are nurtured and led to personal acceptance of Christ, and upon profession of faith, confirm their Baptism.
